20th – 26th January 2019
WHAT: ATMOSPHERIC WATERCOLORS
SKILL: BEGINNERS TO ADVANCED
Watercolour is a magical and often challenging medium. Once mastered, it will reward you with the pleasure of creating striking works of art or infinite variety. During this week, I will set out to clear up widespread misconceptions about painting with watercolours. These common confusions hold watercolour artists back from achieving their full potential. The course will be full of practical advice and techniques. My aim is to simplify watercolour painting to assist you in your personal adventure with this wonderful medium. A wide range of topics including brush and water control, timing, perspective, figures, tones and color mixing will be covered. Daily step-by-step demonstrations will allow us to cover and paint a number of subjects over the course of the week. Water, buildings, street scenes, figures, and Venice will all be tackled. It should be a lot of fun!
